Low Carbon Communities Challenge

On 28 September 2009, the Department of Energy and Climate Change launched the Low Carbon Communities Challenge, a two-year programme to provide financial and advisory support to 20 ‘test-bed' communities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that are seeking to cut carbon emissions. Green energy for Eden

Cornwall's Eden Project could further boost the local economy by converting its heating supply to biomass says a report by consultants Buro Happold. The study suggests the attraction could provide a significant market for local growers of energy crops, while reducing its reliance on fossil fuels.
